Since these are 6 cylinder compressors (3 heads) we must remove the compressors from their mounts and turn them 90 degrees in order to get to the back head to replace that valve plate. We've been finding broken valves on the unloading head and have also found a piston laying in the crankcase on one of them.

We are having to upgrade the valve plates. We have several of these to work on due to a Carlyle issue. The lower compressor can be removed in the typical fashion, similar to your method, by sliding it directly onto my homemade unistrut platform that has sheet metal secured on the top of it. With the come-a-long at the center of that point, I slightly lift the top compressor out, then lower it onto a homemade unistrut platform that I place over the refrigerant piping. What I've been doing is securing two 12 foot lengths of double unistrut across the top of the units, and hooking a come-a-long from another piece of strut that spans across the the top of those two pieces. The piping for refrigerant, condensate, & electrical is in the way of placing a high jack or a tablelift in front of the compressors. The air discharges underneath the unit through a plenum and under the wall into the data room for underfloor air distribution. These units are not sitting on a data room floor like we typically find, but instead are in small rooms just outside the actual data room, sitting on the typical Liebert stands, so the units are about a foot and a half above the concrete floor in the rooms where they're located.

The level of detailing from solid, grippy construction to the secure double head makes it great to use and the big volume is great for fat tyres and super-fast inflation. We use cookies to improve your website experience. Having had some frustrating, sticky experiences with other fat-body or hose-equipped pumps we approached the Big Bore with doubts. Best gravel tyres: from dusty to dirty, here's our pick of the best tyres for your gravel bike.12 best gravel bikes for racing and exploring off road. The fact the two halves twist-lock together when not in use means the shaft is more likely to stay clean which is crucial with large-bore pumps where there’s already more seal drag and a bit of grit can lock them solid. As long as the tyre is properly popped into place that’s enough for all MTB and most gravel purposes though and there are plenty of high-pressure options in the Air Tool family. The large stroke volume means you’ll have to work hard to get up to 30psi and you’ll be risking the veins in your temple getting close to Specialized’s claimed 50psi. It’ll obviously top-up conventional or pre-seated tyres quickly and easily too, so if you’re running fat rubber it’s awesome.
